Mediation Pro Bono (for free!)

Terms and conditions

1. This is an offer of a free mediation lasting up to 4 hours in total (and including up to 4 hours preparation) to take place before 31 May 2025 [“offer“].
2. This offer (including these terms) must be accepted by all the parties to the mediation.
3. The number of parties to the mediation is not to exceed 3 in total.
4. The mediation may be conducted online or person to person. If person to person, the parties must agree to pay the costs of the venue between them and the venue must be within 10 miles of the centre of Bristol.
5. The mediation will (apart from the mediator’s fee) be conducted in accordance with the terms of the mediation agreement on ­buildingdisputesmediation.co.uk
6. Subject to the above terms being accepted and the mediation agreement being signed by the parties, the mediation may proceed if (a) the sum or the value in dispute is less than £50,000 (b) a suitable date and time is agreed by all of the parties (c) if one or more of the parties would not otherwise be able to proceed with the mediation because they cannot afford to pay a mediator’s fee (any evidence provided by one or more of the parties to show this will be provided on condition of strict confidentiality).
7. The mediator reserves the right not to proceed with the offer and is not required to state any reason for not proceeding.
8. Any party wishing to accept the offer must submit a signed mediation agreement together with a signed and dated copy of these terms and conditions.
