Fixed Fee Scheme – sum in dispute under £50,000

Each additional hour is charged at £100 per party

*Please note that in County Court proceedings in claims up to £10,000 you will be required to participate in a 1 hour telephone mediation by a mediator provided by the Court Service.

You may also be offered mediation by the Court for claims above £10,000. 

There will be a cost to issue a claim form. If you are a consumer and your dispute concerns the sale of goods and services the trader is required to provide you with the name and website address of an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution body. 

Disputes involving more than £50,000

The fees are calculated by taking the total amount in dispute between the parties.

The costs of hiring a venue (if this is necessary) and any travel expenses will be paid by the parties and shared equally between them.

My fees are based on a full day’s mediation [up to 8 hours] and up to a full day of preparation, including preliminary calls to the parties.

If additional preparation or further time is required during the mediation, further fees will charged at the additional hourly rates indicated below.
