I offer to mediate any dispute – large or small – in accordance with the terms of the mediation agreement. My aim is to help you to resolve your dispute as  efficiently and economically as possible.

I also want to make mediation more accessible. I participate in the CMC’s Fixed Fee Scheme for claims under £50,000. Please see the fees page for more details.

I am also willing to mediate disputes pro bono (without charge). I am offering to conduct one mediation lasting up to half a day pro bono. Please see the page with the terms of this offer for further details.

I have over 40 years’ experience of advising and representing clients involved in building disputes. I have practised as a barrister in England & Wales and in New Zealand. I have advised and represented parties on each side of disputes involving house building, engineering and construction contracts as well as PFI Projects.

For those who may be unfamiliar with mediation and how it works in practice, I have prepared a short guide. Please see page headed “Mediation – A short guide”.

I am able to assist with the mediation of other civil or commercial disputes and not just building disputes.

I am based in the South West but I am willing to meditate anywhere in England & Wales either in person or by virtual meeting. Please see the guidance for online meetings.
